Temporary Suspension of Service Update
For Immediate Release: February 5, 2020
Contact: Lourdes Martinez
NEW HAVEN – Dear riders,
You've probably noticed the bikes and signs have been removed from stations and new station signs, introducing TapBike as our new provider, have popped up around the City of New Haven. We're working hard to prepare the system to be relaunched in the coming weeks, and look forward to introducing the final product.
To refresh your memory, users with an existing and active subscription to the Noa platform will have their remaining term carried over to the TapBike platform and redeemed via a voucher code.
The intention of the transition is to upgrade service and provide requested features. Users will now be able to reserve bikes at stations in advance and rent multiple bikes at a time. The bike share program will remain station based with a total of 300 bicycles in the fleet.
In addition to upgrading the system, we've been making improvements to our website, which will be live in the coming days. There you will be able to find information about the TapBike platform and rental process in preparation for our upcoming launch.
We apologize for the inconvenience this temporary suspension may cause, however we trust the improvements to our fleet will be worth the wait. Bike New Haven looks forward to providing improved bike share service in 2020.
Thank you for your continued support!
